Why practices are different
Big files, tight deadlines
An architecture practice doesn’t work like a typical office. Drawings and models run to hundreds of megabytes, several people work on the same project at once, and a slow file server or a crashed workstation the day before a submission costs real time.
We plan the setup around that: the right storage for live projects, a network fast enough to open large files, and workstations matched to the software rather than a standard office build. Planning ahead is what our architects client values most, so we look at what’s coming up, from new starters to software upgrades, before it becomes urgent.
Working with others
Sharing drawings safely
Practices send drawings to clients, consultants and contractors every day. We set up Microsoft 365 sharing so links expire and only reach the people they’re meant for, and we make sure staff on site or at home get to project files securely.
If a client or a tender asks about your security, Cyber Essentials certification is the simplest way to show it. Every business we’ve prepared has passed.
